On Monday, August 29 2016 the The Cork & Craft in Rancho Bernardo, California hosted the third and final regional heat of the KAABOO ROCK’N CHEF COMPETITION.

Presented by Chef’s Roll and sponsored by Satsuma Wagyu, Barilla Pasta, US Foods, Fresh Origins, PolyScience, Melissa’s Produce, Kitchen Aid and Cardinal International, the showdown saw Phillip Esteban (The Cork & Craft), Ruth María Schreber-Sanchez (Private Chef), Anthony Sinsay (Jsix), Claudette Wilkins (Baja Culinary Fest), Steve Brown (Cosecha), RoseAna Peyron (The High Dive), Michael Poompan (Coronado Island Marriott Resort & Spa) and Josh Maynard (Neighborhood), compete to win one of four remaining spots in the ROCK’N CHEF Final at the KAABOO festival in San Diego.

Debuting a new online-only format, the event was streamed exclusively via Facebook LIVE to Chef’s Roll’s audience of 108K+ followers. Phillip Esteban, Michael Poompan, Steve Brown & Anthony Sinsay received the highest number of likes respectively and will go on to compete against Phoenix Chef Dushyant Singh and Palm Springs Chef Herve Glin in the “winner-takes-all” challenge at the KAABOO Festival at the Del Mar Fairground on Saturday, September 17.
